Frequently Asked Questions

Real questions from real guests

Arrival & Check-In

What time is check-in / check-out?
Check-in is 4:00 PM, check-out is 11:00 AM.

Can we arrive early or drop off groceries before check-in?
You're welcome to drop bags or groceries at the door before 4:00 PM, but please wait to enter until check-in time so our cleaning team has finished. If our cleaners are done early, we'll message you as soon as we know.

I got a door code months ago — is it still valid?
Door codes are date-specific and only activate for your exact stay. If you're not sure, just text us and we'll confirm.

The door code isn't unlocking — help!
You should hear the lock try to turn. If it sticks, gently pull the door toward you by the handle and re-enter the code — temperature swings can make the door swell slightly. Still stuck? Call/text Bill at 919-916-7776.

What's the minimum age to book?
You must be 25 or older to book this property. This is a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood and not a party destination — we do not accept reservations for bachelor/bachelorette parties or similar large group gatherings.

Parking & HOA

How many vehicles can we park?
The driveway fits two standard-size cars. There's a first-come, first-served neighborhood overflow lot for extra vehicles, in designated spaces only.

Can we bring a golf cart, trailer, or motorcycle?
No — the HOA does not allow golf carts, trailers, or motorcycles at this property, even temporarily. Golf carts also can't be accommodated because the garage isn't available for guest use or storage.

What happens if we park on the grass or street?
Parking violations are zero-tolerance — HOA security can photograph a violation and issue a fine immediately, with no warning. The fine is $1,000 per violation, plus a $25 administrative fee — billed to us by the HOA, but passed on directly to the guest responsible. Vehicles parked on the street may also be towed. Please stick to the driveway or designated spaces, fully on the concrete.

What are the quiet hours, and is there a party policy?
The HOA enforces quiet hours from 10:00 PM to 9:00 AM. Noise or gatherings that disturb neighbors are also zero-tolerance and can result in an immediate fine, and under the City of North Myrtle Beach House Party Ordinance, a police response and citations. Repeated violations can jeopardize the owner's ability to rent this home, so please keep gatherings to registered guests only.

The Townhome

Is there a washer and dryer?
Yes, in-unit washer and dryer are available.

Is there recreational equipment like ping pong or a pool table?
Not currently — we have a TV and board games inside, plus an outdoor grill and patio.

Is there WiFi?
Yes. The network name and password are sent with your check-in details and posted in the unit.

Do you have a crib?
Yes, a Pack N Play/travel crib is available on request. If you'd rather rent your own gear, we've had a great experience coordinating with a local BabyQuip provider (babyquip.com) for crib and stroller delivery — just give us a heads up so we can coordinate access.

Are pets allowed?
No, we're generally unable to accommodate pets. We do consider ESA/service animal accommodations on a case-by-case basis — please reach out before booking.

What's the maximum occupancy?
10 guests.

Do we have garage access?
No, the garage is private and not part of the rental.

Pools & Beach

How far is the beach?
A short drive; a free resort shuttle runs Memorial Day–October to take you to the beach and Barefoot Landing. See the current schedule at barefoothoa.com/beach-shuttle.

Do you provide beach chairs or umbrellas?
We provide bath towels for use inside the townhome only — we don't provide beach towels, chairs, or umbrellas. Chairs, umbrellas, and other gear can be rented from local delivery companies for about $20–45/day. Note that North Myrtle Beach doesn't allow tents, canopies, or cabanas during summer season — standard umbrellas up to 9 ft are fine.

Is there a boardwalk like Virginia Beach?
Yes! The Myrtle Beach Boardwalk is about a 15–20 minute drive south. See our Things To Do page for details.

How far is Myrtle Beach / the hotel area?
We're in North Myrtle Beach, a quieter area north of the main hotel strip — the Boardwalk/hotel district is about a 15–20 minute drive.
